ETF Technical Manager
Would you like to work in a diverse company supporting new challenging products? We currently have a vacancy for a ETF Technical Manager at our site in Bishopston.
As a ETF Technical Manager, you will be providing technical assistance and leadership to the current Engineering team as they expand into a new portfolio of products. You will be leading design activity for trials, specific rigs, fixtures and asset handling equipment whilst also ensuring that governance expectations are met. You will also be a technical liaison between the team and customers.
This role will provide you with an opportunity to work in an expanding business testing a wide range of existing and exciting new products.
Your main responsibilities as a ETF Technical Manager will involve:
Governance:
Ensure all aspects of safety are addressed via pre-trials risk assessment
Ensure Test Engineers develop and maintain competency
Ensure all testing is completed to accredited standards
Continuous improvement of testing capability and processes
Transition to professional Test Engineer culture
Maintain weekly Project level planning and reporting to feed ETF Dashboard and T&E monthly reporting.
Act as main technical focus for customer concerns and complaints
Management/Engineering:
Responsibility for supervision and directing ETF Lead Engineering staff
Timely delivery of all testing activity conducted at the site
Oversee weekly tactical planning to maximise test asset utilisation and project recovery.
Lead/Manage design activity for trials specific rigs , fixtures and asset handling equipment as required
Efficient estimating to ensure a fast turnaround to RFQ's
Ensure outputs for milestone payments and final reports are delivered to facilitate timely sales claims
Work closely with business development to develop and implement our sales strategy
Provide Technical support for new business development activities
Develop business cases for investment in improvements and new capability
Ensure all staff PDR's and mandatory training is completed in a timely manner
Your skills and qualifications:
Essential:
Experience of managing teams
Environmental Testing Experience (Dynamics testing, Shock Pulses, Vibrations
In depth knowledge of dynamic testing Vibration, Shock and the associated standards that apply.
Computer Literate
Project Management experience
Desirable:
CAD and CAD design knowledge
Vibrations controllers systems such as Data Physics
