Senior Project Professional

Would you like to thrive in a fast paced support role within the exciting Weapons Systems function? We currently have a vacancy for a Project Engineer at our site in Barrow.

As a Project Engineer, you will assist a close team of 5 project managers across a wide variety of tasks such as India support, delivery of training, supporting procurement, reporting, chairing internal reviews amongst others. This is an exciting opportunity to work with international customers and due to the nature of the project make a lasting, direct impact on the business.

This role will provide you with the chance to gain a fantastic level of exposure to the business and a number of key stakeholders supporting future progression. It will also provide the opportunity for occasional international travel.

Your main responsibilities as a Senior Project Professional will involve:

  • Defining, executing and planning contractual deliverables on time and to budget
  • Identifying and analysing potential schedule issues and propose corrective solutions
  • Working with key stakeholders and other functions to ensure contractual deliveries are on time, to cost and quality
  • Communicating with internal and external customers both formally and informally
  • Participating in, or possibly chair, multi-functional integral meetings
  • Producing periodic metrics to demonstrate performance against contract and customer requirements
  • Compiling and producing weekly and monthly associated reports

Your Skills and Qualifications:

Essential:

  • A Recognised project management training/qualification (e.g. Prince 2, APM)
  • Stakeholder management experience
  • Risk Management Experience
  • Experience of quality and safety awareness

Desirable:

  • SAP or MRP experience
