An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with drive and enthusiasm to join and grow at Europe’s number one missile system provider, developing design solutions for the next generation of weapons.
Who and what we are looking for from you?
- Industrial experience (not necessarily aerospace/defence), in Mechanical Design and Development and suitable engineering qualifications.
- 3D CAD/CAE experience (e.g. PTC Creo, CATIA, SolidWorks etc)
- An understanding of structural/thermal/dynamic analysis would be advantageous.
- You will possess good communication skills and be aware of cultural differences.
- You will have a willing, helpful attitude and a calm professional manner, be able to set priorities and deal with multiple issues.

What will you be doing?
- You will support Design, Development and Proving activities, throughout the product lifecycle, for a wide range of missile system hardware.
- You will be supported with the use of state of the art engineering tools and MBDA’s extensive in house facilities and capabilities.
- You will, with the support of a network of highly skilled and experienced engineers, develop your skills and knowledge to evolve into the next generation of engineering specialist

MBDA UK require all employees to achieve and maintain SC security clearance or above without restrictions that will inhibit the individual’s ability to fulfil the requirements of the role. Your eligibility for the appropriate level of security clearance may be discussed with you during the recruitment process.
