About the role

Here at Babcock International we’re looking to recruit an Electrical Engineering Academic Trainer to be responsible for the delivery for the academic delivery functions service for EMTC courses and to support the preparation of course modules as directed by the Principle Lecturer.

Main Tasks:

  • Managing and instructing military and civilian personnel in Electrical Machine engineering and mathematics modules to Foundation Degree level
  • Supervising the conduct of laboratory and assignment work in support of the above.
  • Invigilating of examinations and marking assessments and assignments in support of the above.
  • Reporting on student performance as required.

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineering professional to join a leading training organisation to deliver high quality theoretical and practical training to military and civilian personnel. On offer is the professional development to gain Level 4 Teaching certification and “on the job” mentoring to upskill to a level where able to deliver technical training courses.

 

What do I need to do the role?  

You will hold the minimum qualification of Degree or equivalent in an Electrical engineering or aligned discipline, prior experience in a teaching / instructing role would be beneficial but full training will be provided to upskill to a level where able to deliver academic courses.

You will demonstrate IT literacy and possess excellent communication skills and professional standards.

You will also be eligible to gain and maintain UK SC level Security Clearance.
