Did you know that Ocado is no longer just an online grocery retailer?

Based on our ground-breaking technology, we are now developing world class automated warehouse systems and engaging in exciting new business opportunities!

Due to this recent success, our Engineering team is growing and we're now looking for an Engineering Project Planner.

Your role as Engineering Project Planner will be to ensure that multiple projects are planned and structured to complete on time, in a safe manner and within budget. The primary focus of the team is planning the delivery of these automated warehouses for clients around the world.

Only a 20 minute commute from London King’s Cross and with a free shuttle bus provided from Hatfield Station to the office, as an Engineering Project Planner you will be given the opportunity to be involved in this exciting new journey, making our automation solutions a reality and shaping the way that we all receive our groceries.

To be successful in the role of Engineering Project Planner, we are looking for those with demonstrable project planning experience and related industry or academic exposure. You will have a balanced and considered approach to problem resolution as well as excellent communication skills. You will also be commercially aware with experience in budget and financial management and you will be highly IT literate.

In return for your expertise, Ocado offer a challenge like no other and a sense that you are part of a team doing something different. Ocado offer benefits such as contributory pensions, share schemes, private medical insurance, life assurance and employee discount on Ocado.com as well as on our speciality stores sites (Fetch and Sizzle).

Company

Ocado was established in the UK over 16 years ago and listed on the London Stock Exchange in July 2010. We are the world’s largest dedicated online grocery retailer with over 580,000 active customers shopping with us today. Our objective is to provide our customers with the best shopping experience in terms of service, range and price, which builds a strong business and delivers long term value for our shareholders.

We have developed a unique end-to-end operating solution for online grocery retail based on proprietary technology and IP, suitable for operating our own business and those of our commercial partners.

The world is changing fast, driven by different shopping habits and ever more advanced technology for the consumer. Grocery is the largest of all retail segments and is moving online. Moreover, the rapid growth of shopping using mobile devices opens new opportunities. We are well positioned to take advantage of these long-term structural trends for the benefit of our customers, partners and shareholders.

With everything from websites to warehouses designed in-house, our departments are specialists in a wide range of technologies.
