Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Engineering Manager

Would you like to play a key role in managing logistics and maintaining material supply levels across both Naval and Company Stores? We currently have a vacancy for an Integrated Logistics Support Engineering Manager at either of our sites in Broad Oak, Frimley or New Malden.

As an Integrated Logistics Support Engineering Manager, you will need to work closely with the Ship Service Team, Equipment Support Team, Procurement amongst many other stakeholders to ensure the JSS2 programme delivers its contracted equipment.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to manage ILS activities across 37 ships and managing areas such as logistic movement of spares, purchasing and forecasting of spares and configuration management, whilst liaising with the wider team on failure reporting and flagging issues.

Your main responsibilities as an Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Engineering Manager will involve:

Ensure stock levels are managed effectively in both naval Stores and company stores across the JSS2 programme and, where appropriate, across the wider CCSEP group

Ensure proactive monitoring of obsolescence (including data capture and reporting) and liaison with the Equipment Support Team to devise resolution approach

Ensure provision of logistical support to the resolution of ship system defects.

Ensure maintenance of the DRACAS database is carried out to inform dynamic stock holding levels.

Proactively engage with the Customer to ensure data provision on stock holding between both parties is at an optimal level (incl. CRISP data)

Ensure configuration control of the relevant in-service BoMs is maintained

Lead ILS work package including detailed materials spend planning and provision of a central point for material ordering to maintain the benefits of a pan platform common spares pool

Your skills and qualifications:

Essential:

Knowledge and relevant experience in ILS, e.g. DRACAS, inventory management, BOM configuration management

Evidence of strong stakeholder and team management skills

Desirable:

Knowledge of Engineering and Project Management techniques

Experience of naval and/or defence

Experience in planning & managing budgets

You will also have strong communication skills

Location: Broad Oak, Frimley or New Malden with regular travel between sites (1-2 times per week).
