Head of Qatar Emiri Air Force (QEAF) Liaison
Would you like to play a key role interfacing with the Qatar Emiri Air Force (QEAF) on operational and technical matters across the BAE Systems Qatar programme? We currently have a vacancy for a Head of QEAF Liaison at our site in Warton.
As the Head of Qatar Emiri Air Force Liaison, you will be an experienced military aircraft aircrew operator with extensive knowledge of military operations as well as business acumen who will be able to support the QEAF and the business as the programme develops through the training, delivery and operational phases.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to build trusting and lasting relationships with the QEAF and various other Qatari stakeholders in an unprecedented role through delivering technical training, including the Typhoon and Hawk aircraft.
Your main responsibilities as Head of QEAF Liaison will involve:
Providing support to the customer stakeholders associated with the Qatar programme, including the Air Force, Air Academy & broader Qatar Armed Forces
Developing the customer relationship strategy and provide leadership and direction to all programme stakeholders to ensure alignment of approach acting in the interest of the business and the QEAF
Providing a well-informed customer position in support of business decisions
Supporting and developing a strong BAE Systems brand and reputation in Qatar
Leading & managing the interface for all technical and operational customer queries in a timely and effective manner
Supporting the achievement of all programme deliverables to schedule, cost, quality & customer satisfaction within the requirements of the business operational and governance framework
Your skills and qualifications:
Significant understanding and knowledge of Air Force operational needs and CONOPs
Strong understanding of entry into service for platform and support capabilities to achieve effective capability insertion and sustained operational performance
Extensive military flight operations background with aircrew experience of fast jet operations
Knowledge and understanding of technical issues and engineering processes associated with platform and support products and services
Good communication and interpersonal skills in order to ensure a clear vision and common purpose in affording programme deliverables and to interface effectively with the customer at all levels
Empathy to underpin strong customer focus and high levels of customer satisfaction and ensure that their issues are resolved quickly and effectively in order to enhance the reputation of BAE Systems

You will be a proactive individual who is confident and has excellent communication skills. You will also be adaptable and engage with different cultures, this will allow you to provide strong leadership to the wider Middle East and Qatar senior management teams and motivate multi-functional teams across geographical boundaries.
Location: Warton (transitioning to Qatar in c. 2years)
