  • You will be involved in influencing project heads/chief engineers in technical decisions.
  • This role offers the opportunity for you to work as part of a highly skilled, motivated and effective team.
  • You will have the opportunity to develop yourself and others through the delivery of a variety of training methods and tools.
  • This role can develop from a project engineer into a technical lead, team leader or technical expert.
  • Opportunity to work in our specialist facilities, utilising state of the art and innovative testing techniques simulating environments across the entire weapon life cycle.

What would you get?
  • Competitive salary, flexible working, paid overtime (subject to level), a comprehensive pension scheme, employee funded voluntary private healthcare, sporting activities, fantastic site facilities, bonus schemes (subject to level), superb learning and development opportunities and more….

The Role
  • As an Environmental Project Engineer you will expected to work closely and build relationships with a range of MBDA functions, sectors and Chief Engineers including Systems Engineering, Architecture, Design and Proving teams.
  • Apply specialist technical knowledge and provide advice to projects, with responsibility for delivery of technical aspects of data analysis activities, as part of the MBDA EE&F UK Environmental Data Analysis Team
  • You will provide technical expertise in generating environmental requirements, developing robust product designs and defining and managing cost effective test strategies throughout the product development cycle. You will work closely with our existing team of highly experienced project and test engineers to define and manage test programmes.
  • Act as a technical interface with customers in the delivery of data analysis tasks or technical work packages, including data gathering trials and assessments, platform integration activities, and structural modal assessment, ensuring delivery to the required quality, timescale and budget.
  • Plan, deliver and monitor assigned work packages, making engineering decisions within own sphere of responsibility and delegated authority to ensure requirements are delivered to plan.
  • Some of the key challenges for the role include:
