Summary of Role

Raytheon UK is looking for a Quality Engineer to undertake quality engineering related activities in support of the Raytheon Global Sensors business managing a range of current and new to market Global Positioning Systems related products for a worldwide customer base. In this role you will support programmes in maintaining compliance to quality, business and regulatory support and report on related performance metrics and undertake internal audits to ISO 9001:2015 requirements.

Main Duties

  • To provide assurance through audit, review and continuous improvement.
  • Work with suppliers and subcontractors in a collaborative way to build lasting relationships.
  • Provide advice and guidance to assure customer requirements are met or exceeded.
  • Assure compliance with regulatory and other sector specific requirements as required.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with customers.
  • Conduct product release and assurance activity to support programmes.
  • Assure compliance with regulatory and other sector specific requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Utilise your coaching and facilitating skills by helping people deliver business and process improvements and address root causes.
  • Be accountable for your decisions and actions, support and drive improvement activities to closure.
  • Interfacing & communication with program & functional areas to support the goals of the business.
  • Identify and support improvement innovations within the business.
  • Auditing of quality systems to ISO9001:2015: including analysis of findings, advice on deficiency closure & improvement suggestions.
  • Manage and maintain inspection stamp process.
  • Participation at design reviews, program reviews and lifecycle Gate Reviews.
  • Manage and report on quality performance utilising FRACAS and other quality/business management tools.

Candidate Requirements
Essential

  • Working knowledge and understanding of regulatory standards.
  • Be team orientated, whilst still being able to work under own initiative and take the lead when required.
  • Enjoy problem solving, and have proven analytical skills.
  • Excellent at developing and managing relationships.
  • Proactive in helping other people and teams succeed.
  • Fully conversant with ISO9001:2015.
  • Current holder of or eligible to obtain MoD SC level security clearance

Desirable

  • Internal Auditor or training to ISO9001/AS9100
  • Knowledge of Software standards and requirements
