As a Careers Consultant for Engineering and Technology students, you will help students and graduates to acquire the skills necessary to choose their future path, find employment and to manage their career successfully. You will achieve this through a combination of teaching inside and outside of the curriculum, one-to-one guidance and the development of e-learning and other resources. A key part of this role will be for you to build strategic relationships with academic staff, employers, alumni and other professionals inside and outside of the university careers team in order to design and deliver the best possible employability support.

We are seeking candidates with backgrounds related to engineering, materials science, electronic engineering or computer science, through relevant academic study and/or work history (including recruitment experience in, or for, these sectors).

There is additional provision for the School of Advanced Study, the Institute of Cancer Research, Glasgow Caledonian University London, technē and University of London Worldwide. The Group HQ is at Senate House and contains the Director's office and a small central team which supports the institutional services by coordinating recruitment and resourcing, providing training and professional development, supporting research and evidence-based practice, overseeing the creation and curation of shared resources, and undertaking special projects on behalf of member services and the Group as a whole. Senate House is also the base for the Head of College Careers Services for the smaller specialist institutes of the university.
