Would you like to play a key role in driving the direction of SHE policies and procedures across a multi-sited business? We currently have a vacancy for a SHE Manager at our site in Glascoed or Radway Green.

As a SHE Manager and part of the senior leadership team, you will manage a team of SHE professionals across Land UK, driving SHE strategy and leading on SHE policy/processes, management systems, audit/assurance, engagement, environment and sustainability.

This senior role will provide you with the opportunity to influence policies and processes across the Land business with exposure to a wide range of stakeholders and can offer good career progression within the business.

Your main responsibilities as a SHE Manager will involve:

Leading the development, implementation and improvement of the Land UK SHE Management System (including ISO 45001 (safety), ISO 14001 (environment), ISO 50001 (energy) certifications), and SHE maturity matrix (SMM) across all functions and areas within Land UK

Leading, designing and delivering the SHE Assurance process for Land UK, ensuring that assurance activities are targeted and effective, resources are competent and used to best effect, and 'audit' talent is managed

Leading the planning and delivery of SHE engagement and improvement strategies and programmes across Land UK

Designing and executing plans and processes to ensure that current and future SHE legislative and other compliance obligations are understood and met

Providing reports to Land UK and wider BAE Systems community, as required/directed, on all aspects of SHE performance and programme delivery

Managing and acting as secretary for the Land UK SHE Review / Exemplar meetings

Your skills and qualifications as a SHE Manager:

Experience in implementing SHE management systems in a high hazard environment; ideally including experience with COMAH regulated businesses

Experienced Lead Auditor with ability to design and develop audit plans

Safety and Environmental Qualification e.g. NEBOSH, IEMA

Willingness to travel across the Land UK site portfolio

You will be analytical, able to understand trends and resolve issues and problems in a variety of complex situations.
