HEBRIDES OPPORTUNITIES

This is a new opportunity for an experienced Network Engineer / IT Technician to join a team of dedicated systems professionals to support the delivery of test and evaluations activities within the defence environment.

This is a great experience for a candidate with in-depth experience of installing and maintaining IT systems and networks to work as part of a busy and dynamic team.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES.

As a Network Engineer, you will be working under an Engineering Lead; the candidate will lead installation and maintenance activities and take responsibility for the task’s technical output. The candidate should be at ease working within a small to medium sized team and be comfortable taking on new tasks outside of their skill set as required by the business.

THE FIT.

In this position, you need practical experience in network implementation, configuration (CISCO at a layer 2 level) and testing as well as the ability to fault find on Microsoft and Linux server platforms and clients.

Ideally, you will have knowledge of JSP 604 and 440 and associated JSPs would be desirable. Training will also be provided.
