Making a real difference to people who are travelling to all sorts of places for all sorts of different reasons. And building a diverse community reflecting the passengers we serve.

As a Baggage Assurance Manager, you’ll help us to make every journey better. Our passengers give us their trust. They trust us not only to get them to their destination safely, but also their luggage – holding everything from day-to-day items to family keepsakes. And in Baggage, you’ll uphold our promise to get every bag on every plane, for every passenger. So, whether you’re handling airline relations, ensuring our equipment is in order, or overseeing the smooth-running of our operations, you’ll impact the lives of millions. That’s not all – we also want you to feel engaged and happy. We can give you all the training and support you need to grow your skills and thrive at Heathrow.

Join Heathrow and be an incredibly important part of the 80 million passenger journeys we make happen each year.

Leading the team to deliver a robust plan to maintain operational performance during the construction phase of any project.

Building cost plans and ensure resources are provided to each project

Reporting on the detail of changes in the Baggage operations budget

Leading the planning and implementation of integration and assurance activities

Ensuring the delivery of operational assurance is service led and look for ways to continually improve the delivery of the service

These skills are essential:

Effective leadership skills to manage a dynamic team

Ability to link strategic planning to live projects, and able to work to tight deadlines

A strong understanding of process management and commercial awareness

Ideally, you’ll also have:

Experience in a baggage Operational environment or similar fast paced operational situation

They include an excellent pension scheme, life assurance, access to private health insurance and a share in our success scheme. Not only that, when you get here, we’ll nurture your skills and do all we can to help you reach your full potential.

A career with us also means being part of an organisation that cares about the community. Our plan is to meet growing passenger demand in a sustainable way that creates a positive impact on our community – and the environment. That’s why, by 2030, we want at least half of all journeys to the airport to be made by public and sustainable transport. We have a range of initiatives designed to help people to get to and from work sustainably, from subsidised public transport through to car sharing and a Cycle to Work scheme.

Join us, and you’ll have everything you need to succeed and explore the countless career destinations that are available here.

As an equal opportunities employer, we encourage applications from a diverse range of individuals. We believe that diverse talent makes us stronger – not least because we welcome passengers from all corners of the globe, every single day. Company

Engineering at Heathrow is unlike engineering at any other organisation. The sheer scale and scope of what we do means that we’re very much a city within a city. Think 201,000 passengers arriving and departing each day (that’s around 73 million people a year). Four active terminals – the largest of which covers 353,020 square metres. And literally thousands of colleagues, all striving to achieve one thing: making every journey better.
