Lead Engineer- Human Factors

Would you like to play a key role within one of our largest busy units? We currently have a vacancy for a Lead Engineer- Human Factors at our site in Yeovil/Christchurch.

As a Lead Engineer- Human Factors, you will be managing and delivering a range of research and consultancy services to internal and external clients (air, land, sea and potentially other non-defence sectors)

This role will provide you with an opportunity to variety of projects- supporting large and small programmes. Variety of activities across human factors.

Your main responsibilities as a Lead Engineer- Human Factors will involve:

manage and deliver a range of research and consultancy services to internal and external clients (air, land, sea and potentially other non-defence sectors)

Maximise exploitation of the research products across BAE Systems and capitalise on the significant opportunities that the HSSRC and related programmes present for BAE Systems

Support growth of BAE Systems' research and consultancy services through the effective management of HF activities as an integrated component across engineering programmes and wider business development activities as required.

Your skills and qualifications:

Essential:

Experience of delivering human factors research

Experience in the effective application of human factors tools and techniques

High quality technical report writing & Presentation Skills

Supervising small teams

Experience in Defence, Aerospace, Nuclear or Rail industries

Desirable:

General consultancy skills and an ability to work within an inter-disciplinary client/team environment, with minimal supervision (including external academic and industrial suppliers).

Experience working on MOD/Defence programmes

Working within a system's engineering environment

A strong leader with experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team. Must be able to use own initiative and be very motivated.

Location: Yeovil/Christchurch

Salary: £45000
