High Hazard SHE Co-ordinator

Would you like the opportunity to provide significant input into a niche environment/sector? We currently have a vacancy for a High Hazard SHE Co-ordinator at our site in Glascoed.

As a High Hazard Co-ordinator, you will have a significant input into the Basis of Safety documentation, ensuring that manufacturing processes are carried out safely by identifying and understanding process risks and advising on the necessary controls to ensure process risks are As Low as Reasonably Practicable (ALARP).

You will be responsible for the development, review and continuous improvement of, but not limited to; The Site COMAH report, ALARP Summary reports, Process Risk Assessments and Past Accident Searches.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work on one of the most complex sites within the UK, with the ability to gain skills and knowledge in process safety and COMAH management.

 

Your main responsibilities as a High Hazard SHE Co-ordinator will involve:

Developing, reviewing and updating of The Site COMAH Safety Report

Providing a common approach and best practice to the identification of Major Accident Hazards for the site

Preparing and or reviewing as required Past Accident Searches, Human Factors Assessments, Hazard Identification, Process Risk Assessments, ALARP Summary Reports and Work Area Safety Conditions

Liaising with other functions and at all levels within the business, external organizations and Regulators

Any other duties as required by the High Hazard and SHE Manager commensurate with the post

Your skills and qualifications as a High Hazard SHE Co-ordinator:

Essential:

Working knowledge of a High Hazard environment within the manufacturing or engineering sector

Knowledge and some relevant practical expertise in high hazard areas such as explosive risk management, explosive licensing or COMAH

Experience and knowledge of different types of Risk Assessments e.g. FMEA, Human Factors, HAZID, HAZOP, COSHH

Desirable:

NEBOSH certificate (or equivalent) or working towards a recognised professional Safety and Health Management qualification e.g. NEBOSH diploma
