Working within the Engineering Central operations team you will be responsible for the day to day running of the automated machinery including reactive and planned maintenance, you will also provide support for the Engineering R&D team and assist them with the development and testing of new products.

Working within the engineering central team, this role will involve:

  • Respond to and diagnose equipment breakdowns, resolving issues and actioning repairs
  • Carrying out planned/reactive maintenance across the site in an accurate, timely and safe manner ensuring maintenance procedures are followed
  • Update records of work activities, tasks carried out, parts used through stores system etc
  • Perform daily housekeeping and cleaning duties of equipment
  • Complete quality inspections to ensure work is completed to a safe standard
  • Work with the NPI team with implementing new products
  • Work closely with the engineering R&D team in finding ways to improve process and increase machine reliability and performance
  • Working individually or as part of a team
  • Producing a daily shift report

To be considered for this role you will need:

  • A formal qualification in an electrical or mechanical engineering subject 
  • Electrical experience preferable
  • Good organisation skills, able to prioritise, knowledge of control systems
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to impart knowledge effectively to others
  • Demonstrable analytical skills with sound problem solving ability
  • Technical ability and understanding relating to automation hardware and software
  • Experience of both reactive and preventative maintenance
  • Good time management, self-motivating and organization skills

 Shift Role, 42 hours per week. Days and Nights
