Environmental Test Project Engineer

Would you like to play a key role in supporting the lead project engineer with the delivery of environmental testing that meets the requirements both the customer and the business? We currently have a vacancy for an Environmental Test Project Engineer at our site in Bishopton.

As an Environmental Project Engineer, you will be supporting the Environmental Test Facilities (ETF) team in Governance, Engineering, Management and SHE tasks.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to be heavily involved with engineers, generating quotes and project plans and setting up risk assessments and test plans.

Your main responsibilities as an Environmental Test Project Engineer will involve:

Deputising for the Lead Project Engineer as and when required

Generation of estimates, trials plans (using Microsoft project), and final customer deliverable reports

Maintain the company forward load tool with Trials resource requirements for planes and prospective work

Generation of work sheets to define testing activities to be undertaken by the Shift based teams.

Monitoring of trials performance and manage projects to customer meet expectations.

Support customers' visiting site to review ongoing trials and represent ETF as necessary and represent ETF on all safety, technical and commercial matters pertaining to the trial.

Compilation of Trials History Log (THL) and associated technical documents.

Support training for activities Engineers, Technicians and Assistants as required.

Delivery of training where appropriate

SHE:

Compliance with the requirements of SHE legislation for self and others.

Safe conduct of trials. Ensure of a safe system of work through the respective Test History Logs.

Ensure Trials technicians assigned to project are trained and competent to carry out specified tasks.

Completion of Pre-Trials risk assessments to ensure the identification and control of all trial specific hazards.

Responsible for ensuring all members of staff supporting each trial, have been briefed on the trial specific safety and technical requirements and are competent to carry out the necessary tasks.

Your skills and qualifications:

Essential:

At least HNC qualified in an Engineering discipline or relevant experience

MS Projects & SAP experience

Project Management Experience, being able to manage the project end to end

Ability to work with Mechanical Engineers and quickly understand what they do (some mechanical experience would be seen favourable)

Desirable:

Understanding of both ISO 9001 and ISO 17025

Salary: £35,000pa
