The Opportunity

 A management opportunity has arisen in the high-performing Safety, Health & Environment Team within a world-leading defence engineering company. You will shape the critical safety culture in the organisation to enable ‘best in class’ in the defence sector for employee safety and well-being.
 
What are we looking for?
  • Experienced SHE manager with proven track record of managing service delivery teams
  • Experienced and qualified SHE practitioner with IOSH Chartered Status
  • Broad understanding of business processes and manufacturing and laboratory technologies
  • Thorough knowledge of SHE legislation and its applications and implications
  • Commitment to delivering a strong SHE culture within organisations
  • Strong communication and influencing skills at all levels
  • Membership of relevant SHE professional bodies such as IIRSM, IEMA, IOSH

The Role
  • To be responsible for managing the UK SHE activities to enable a safe working environment that is compliant with relevant regulatory requirements, is goal setting and reflects best practice.
  • To work with Site SHE Steering Committees and other key stakeholders to establish a strong SHE culture within MBDA UK that effectively monitors, communicates and implements solutions.
  • To collaboratively work at an international level to share best practice and influence international policies, procedures and objectives that also meet all regulatory requirements.
  • Manage a team of experienced well-motivated and business-orientated SHE professionals
