An Engineering/Production Planner vacancy is now available, for someone to provide planning services, encompassing Manufacturing and Science demand across Operational Delivery Units.

You will be responsible for the following:

Creation and maintenance of Rough Cut Capacity Planning modelsTo plan methods of manufacture in response to tasking requirements with full regard to time, cost and qualityEnsure local MRP system is updated and accurateEnsuring that customer requirements are planned and released to Manufacturing and Operational activities within the timescales requiredProvide manufacturing cost estimates and challenge operation timesDemonstrate and use 'Lean Planning' techniques and 'Production Control' processes such as visual management, Kanban and Push/Pull in the operational/ manufacturing areasAttend Visual Management board meetings ensuring all actions are being addressedLiaise with Delivery Units for clarification and coordination of balanced and de-conflicted demands and plansSupport the creation and maintenance of Basis of Estimate with Production costs and schedulesLiaise with other functions within the technology centres for clarification and coordination of balanced and de-conflicted production demands and plansUpdating and reporting on Key Performance indicators as requiredPromote and sponsor operational excellence and drive all actions aimed at continuous process improvementWork effectively with others and building required relationships and interfaces to support delivery of the ProgrammeProvide a diverse and inclusive working environment that allows individuals to flourish and realise their potential

We would love to hear from individuals who possess the following:

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawingsExperience of machining and manufacturing capabilitiesProven ability to create engineering manufacturing route cardsA good understanding of ERP/MRP2 Systems and experience of working within an operational environment, production and or supply chain functions.

Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role.
