Would you like an exciting opportunity to be part of our testing and commissioning team within our submarines? We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Commissioning Engineer at our site in Barrow-in-Furness.

As a Senior Commissioning Engineer, you will be performing electrical testing and commissioning activities, interacting with test groups, support service teams and key stakeholders, the role will see you working 50% office based and 50% hands on within the yard and there can be the requirement to travel abroad as required.

This role will provide you with the opportunity of working towards the next generation of strategic deterrent to RN and our country and we will encourage & support your development.

Your main responsibilities as a Senior Commissioning Engineer will involve:

Performing electrical testing and commissioning activities

Completing test procedure reviews

Planning of future works

Attending working groups for specific systems (will become a system lead)

Your skills and qualifications as a Senior Commissioning Engineer:

Essential skills:

ONC in electrical engineering

Electrical testing and commissioning background

MS Office competent

Desirable skills:

Strategic weapons systems knowledge

HNC Qualification in relevant discipline
