Complex Systems & Support (CS&S) Quality Leader - Supply Chain
Would you like to play a key role in leading the delivery of quality activities for the Submarine programme for the Royal Navy? We currently have a vacancy for a CS&S Quality Leader at our site in Frimley, Surrey.
As a CS&S Quality Leader you will be ensuring the quality team deliver a common quality capability across CS&S to enable the achievement of quality of service to meet stakeholder's needs.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to liaise with different interfaces within the business, to work with suppliers, and work across a variety of locations.
Your main responsibilities as a CS&S Quality Leader -Supply Chain will involve:
Understanding and applying the Quality and SHE Management System documentation e.g. Process Instructions, Workmanship Standards, Risk Assessments etc. applicable to your particular work scope
Undertaking the day to day Quality activities, including undertaking product quality inspections activities both onsite and at suppliers premises and providing quality inputs to engineering design and project teams
Deploying and understanding the quality process improvement techniques to ensure that continuous improvement is maintained
Managing and taking responsibility for all quality related activities (QA, QC, Inspection) without daily supervision and have the ability to deputise for the Quality Manager when the need arises
Understanding and highlighting adverse trends
Recommending and initiating corrective actions and ensuring effective closure
Mentoring and leading a small group of Quality professionals as and when required
Developing, maintaining and managing key relationships in the business both internally and externally
Your skills and qualifications:
Essential
Chartered professional through relevant management institute e.g. CMI, CQI
HND level or can Demonstrate suitable experience
Proven ability to re-engineer and improve processes
Holds a valid driving license
Quality background and understanding of ISO 9001:2015
Understanding of Electro-Mechanical Systems / Products in Defence or Marine sector is highly desirable
