CMT (Cutter Management Team) Planning & Logistics
Would you like to play a key role procuring and providing all cutting tools into production environments supporting Typhoon and F35 as a Shared Service? We currently have a vacancy for a CMT Planning & Logistics at our site in Samlesbury.
As a CMT Planning & Logistics, you will be responsible for cutter provisioning within numerous critical lines of business that manufacture parts and assemblies, across a variety of BAE Systems Air Sector platforms. The role involves forecasting cutting tool demand and production order book management across a number of preferred suppliers, liaising with key Operational stakeholders to ensure that the supply solution is both available and effective.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work in a technical based role in which you can make your impact in logistics though creating and improving processes, in a bespoke 'trail-blazing' role between logistics and production.
Your main responsibilities as a CMT Planning & Logistics will involve:
Support the procurement of Cutting Tools
Responsible for your own reporting, tracking and budget control
Identification and resolution of all Cutting Tool quality failings with corrective actions recorded and impact of replacement tooling assessed with key stakeholders and suppliers
Engage Business production managers to identify future demand of Cutting Tools and proactively assess stock requirements
Support the transition to new Cutter Procurement methodologies utilising industry best standards to utilise price break methodologies and support Business affordability challenges
Support and test the implementation of the new logistics TDM toolset system with associated Cutter logistic enhancements
Actively support any ongoing cost saving initiatives, as well as seeking out opportunities to improve cost, schedule and quality
Your skills and qualifications:
Essential:
Ability to interface with people at different levels
Ability to efficiently and effectively compile data, prepare reports and presentations
Working knowledge of production planning and stakeholder management specifically regarding Cutting Tools
Desirable:
Engineering/Manufacturing/Technical background
Experience of inventory management & control systems
Experience of end to end order-book management
Experience and working knowledge of the AMEX Billing system
A history of Cutting Tool Logistics and Production support environment
Demonstrated excellent Microsoft skills would be highly desirable (e.g., Excel)
Previously experience in a logistical environment- Inventory Management (TDM) would make you highly suitable

Salary: £37,654.00
