Principal Engineer - Model Based Systems Engineering
Would you like to play a key role in Defence Information vision to be a premier provider of business and mission critical, highly secure and assured information systems and services across our UK and international markets? We currently have a vacancy for a Principle Engineer - Model Based Systems Engineering at our site in Christchurch.
As a Principle Engineer - Virtualisation, you will be collaborating securely in order to gain information advantage. This role will give you the opportunity to rapidly deployable secure communications globally enabling operational advantage whilst using a fusion of information intelligently to enable informed decision making.
This is a new role in the business that will provide the successful candidate the opportunity to lead and shape how technology drives the business forward over the coming years.
Your main responsibilities as a Principle Engineer - Model Based Systems Engineering will involve:
Establishing appropriate modelling methods to be utilised across the business
Providing technical leadership and mentoring in Model Based Systems Engineering tools and techniques
Planning and executing Model Based Systems Engineering models to support architecture development and digital engineering initiatives
Appling Model Based Systems Engineering tools and techniques to capture system functions, services, interfaces, requirements and concepts of operations to support system design
Production of model views, including MoDAF products to support programme milestones and documentation
Supporting analysis activities utilising MBSE models and tools
Your skills and qualifications:
Working knowledge of one or more modelling languages preferably UML and/or SysML
Working knowledge of one or more modelling tools including but not limited to; Sparx Enterprise Architect, Archimate or MOOD
Understanding of one or more architectures, including but not limited to MoDAF, NAF or TOGAF
Use of simulation tools, including but not limited to MATLAB, Simulink and/or OPNET, to support analysis of architectural models
