Senior QC (Quality Control) Inspector- Electrical

Would you like to play a key role within the Quality function, applying Quality and HS&E (Health, Safety and Environmental) documentation to your work scope? We currently have a vacancy for a Senior QC Inspector- Electrical at our site in Barrow-in-Furness.

As a Senior QC Inspector- Electrical, you will be liaising with the appropriate areas, to ensure work schedule and results are communicated to appropriate areas. This will allow you to highlight any non-conformances and add value to the quality assurance documentation and process standards.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work on a new breed of submarines, alongside playing a part in the development of the new submarines, there is the potential to progress your career within the quality department

Your main responsibilities as a Senior QC Inspector- Electrical will involve:

Undertake Routine and Complex Inspections with minimal supervision

Record Results and Non-Conformances, and manage these through to completion

Support process reviews of inspection activities to embed a continuous improvement culture

Deputise for Team Leader where required

Accountability for generation, verification and completion of Contractual Quality Records

Represent Quality Inspection delivery within IWT

Your skills and qualifications:

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification/experience in this field

Sound computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel

Experience of working to set delivery schedules and understanding of how quality drives cost down

An understanding of SAP

Trade skills

You will be a proactive individual with excellent communication skills and consider yourself to be a people person, allowing you to communicate with stakeholders across all levels of the business. This will help you to relay feedback of inspection results using the agrees processes set out by the business.
