Senior Facility Engineer - Control and Instrumentation (EMIT Schedule Management)

Location - Reading/Basingstoke area

Package - £42,000.00-£65,000.00plus contributory pension scheme, generous holiday entitlement, additional flexible benefits scheme and excellent work/life balance including 9 day working fortnight.

You will be required to ensure EMIT plans are maintained and accurate in support of the Safety Case and known configuration.

Within this position you will:

  • Ensure that the defined maintenance requirements in the EMIT plan, demonstrate the SSFR's.
  • When any EMIT, or test of any part of plant and equipment reveals that the safe operation or safe condition of that plant may be affected, bring it to the attention of the facility management and ensure that the matter is then notified, recorded, investigated and reported in accordance with the arrangements made under LC7.
  • Ensure that the defined maintenance requirements in the EMIT plan, demonstrate the SSFR's.

To be successful in this role you will need to have:

  • Experience writing and working with EMIT plans.
  • Experience aligning AMS and MI's to the EMIT plan.
  • Experience in ensuring the MI's demonstrate the SSFR's.
  • Able to demonstrate clear line of sight from the safety case to the safe operation of equipment.
  • Able to assess breakdowns to establish if the safety functional requirements have been compromised.
  • Able to Identify potential shortfalls within the EMIT plan.
  • Prepared to voice safety concerns at all levels.
  • HNC with suitable additional experience to Incorporated Engineer equivalent level.
  • Membership of an engineering institution.

Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role.
