Senior Security Advisor- Insider Threats

Would you like to play a key role within Insider Threats, analysing business, internal risk, malicious acts, secrets, sabotage, and terrorism? We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Security Advisor - Insider Threats at our site in Barrow-in-Furness.

As a Senior Security Advisor - Insider Threats, you will be working in a people-based role, taking relevant information from a wide range of sources. Analysing, developing and delivering information in conjunction with internal stakeholders and external partner to manage risk.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work in a brand-new role within the wider security department, where there is the potential to shape and deliver new strategy and gain valuable career development experience in a high tempo and agile role.

Your main responsibilities as a Senior Security Advisor- Insider Threat will involve:

Delivering focused, proportional, independent, lawful intelligence gathering, meeting all legislative and regulatory requirements, in support of insider threat risk mitigation, across all Products and Programmes

Delivering the Submarines Insider Threat Strategy

Leading the intelligence and insider threat team collection, review, analysis and recording of relevant information with regard to security business risk management

Preparing and disseminating high quality Intelligence and (when appropriate) assessment investigation activity reports and presentations for all levels of the business

Delivering reactive and proactive intelligence security operations, to ensure the effective deployment of resources and actions as part of the Security Management System

Identifying improvement opportunities in policy and process and ensure their implementation

Liaising with relevant stakeholders across the business and across various roles

Being the point of contact with law enforcement agencies and other customer security teams to ensure relevant intelligence is identified and collated

Supporting the senior leadership team by representing the Senior Security Manager when appropriate

Supporting the security culture by modelling behaviours that demonstrate and reflect BAE Systems values

Assessing Security measures to ensure their efficiency, adequacy and validity, measuring their effect against security threats and identified risks

Your skills and qualifications:

Essential:

Demonstrable experience in relevant industry or law enforcement/ military/agency investigation and intelligence unit

Industry standard interviewing experience

Demonstrable industry (or relevant occupation) experience in delivering key objectives within an insider threat strategy

Understanding of legislation and experience of working in a regulated industry

Desirable:

Knowledge of key functions and frameworks in delivering an insider threat strategy. (e.g. NEAT Tool)

Demonstrable experience in security risk management

Investigative and/or intelligence practitioner relevant certificates
