Job Details

AWE is currently recruiting for a Technician to join our Operations Team, in Epure (France). You will be providing hands-on technical support operating and maintaining high power X-ray machines used in hydrodynamics experiments.

Location - Epure, France (North of Dijon)

Salary - c£26,500 - £37,000 pa (will depend on your level of experience and suitability)

Following a specialised training programme in the UK and continuing in France, the role will entail using and maintaining all aspects of high voltage systems and flash X-ray diagnostics used to record machine performance. Those who enjoy working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, will spend at least 5 years working full time in France.

We are interested in hearing from ONC/HNC (or equivalent) qualified individuals, in an engineering/science discipline, with practical experience in an experimental or operational environment.

Candidates must be willing and able to:

  • Be permanently located in France for up to 5 years
  • To communicate in the French language (training will be provided but it should be recognised that significant personal commitment and self-study will be required to reach the required level)
  • Work in designated areas of site

Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role.
