Demand Planning Specialist

Would you like to play a key role managing all aircraft demands and providing solutions to achieve the requirements needed? We currently have a vacancy for a Demand Planning Specialist at our site in RAF Valley.

As a Demand Planning Specialist, you will be ensuring the correct stock is available on the shelves, this includes all tooling and equipment necessary and you will be aiding demand management through liaising with the forecasting team.

This role will provide you with a strong overview of supply chain, whilst working within a specialised department, potentially preparing you to move onto a higher position through training and personal development.

Your main responsibilities as a Demand Planning Specialist will involve:

Ensuring the effective provision of Demand Management activities by meeting delivery targets and reporting on any impact on Continuing Airworthiness, operational/process performance

Ensuring all Demand Management activities are appropriately documented, and airworthiness records are maintained on relevant systems (IT / paper based). Compile required reporting, identify any issues and escalate as appropriate

Complying with company governance including supporting process confirmations and independent assurance audits. Support the response to audit findings in a timely and appropriate manner and provide information into the relevant reviews

Ensuring Human Factors and Error Management philosophies are applied to all Demand Management activities. Understand the risks associated with Demand Management and the means by which they are mitigated and managed

Being able to demonstrate an appropriate level of understanding and application of the relevant Continuing Airworthiness Regulatory framework. Support the implementation of any Regulatory-driven changes into the Demand Management activities. Ensure compliance with all other requirements, e.g. ITAR, EaPW, ISO, etc

Ensuring compliance with applicable contractual requirements, e.g. through support to contract reviews and the incorporation of required changes into the Demand Management processes

Your skills and qualifications:

Essential:

Familiarity with ITAR framework

Comprehensive understanding of current IT software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint - advanced Excel skills are required

Recent experience within a Supply Chain role

Ability to be a strategic thinker

Desirable:

Good quantitative and analytical skills/experience

Experience working towards KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)

MJDI (Military Joint Deployed Inventory) system experience

Salary: £26,231 +
