Senior Engineer Data Operations

Would you like to play a key role designing, developing and delivering the Engineering Master Data Management Capability Program within the Air Sector? We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Engineer Data Operations at our site in Warton.

As a Senior Engineer Data Operations, you will be responsible for providing Engineering support for the development, implementation and coordination, and continuous improvement of Engineering Master Data Management toolsets and support to the Project Teams.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to engage across multiple functions within the Business, in high profile business transformation programmes. You will get exposure to some Senior Business Stakeholders and the opportunity to make a visible difference to the business.

Your main responsibilities as a Senior Engineer Data Operations will involve:

  • Supporting the development of the EMDM (Engineering Master Data Management) capability / technology across multiple toolsets as the business evolves e.g. Project Phoenix, Saturn, etc
  • Developing and reviewing processes including ICDs (Interface Control Documents), requirements documents and testing scripts to ensure an efficient and effective execution of the Design system using EMDM techniques
  • Maintaining and developing templates, checklists, workflows etc. for EMDM activities
  • Being the point of contact for allocated tasks to ensure product data requirements for EMDM systems toolsets are met across the business
  • Supporting product EMDM reporting developments i.e. Engineering Business needs
  • Supporting the data integrity service activities including support to the Project teams
  • Support team operational meetings and reviews
  • Liaising with other areas of the Business to troubleshoot/problem solve/resolve existing issues

Your skills and qualifications as a Senior Engineer Data Operations:

  • A degree in a STEM related subject would be desirable although equivalent experience will also be considered
  • Understanding of product configuration and data management principles is essential
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with Senior Stakeholders at all levels is essential
  • Creating & implementing procedures to correct standards and maintaining data is essential
  • Knowledge of Engineering data management toolsets and design documentation across a variety of Aircraft products is desirable
  • Creating ICDs and requirements documents for use at Air Sector level
  • Understanding of AECMA S2000M standard/or use of standards in general

You will be a confident with excellent communications skills. You will have experience of liaising at all levels and be able to challenge and push back when required. You will be efficient in managing groups of stakeholders and be able to effectively manage your time in accordance with a schedule.

Salary: £37,654+
