Senior QC Inspector

Would you like to pay a key role within inspection, inspecting products and managing product safety during building and test / commissioning phases? We currently have a vacancy for a Senior QC Inspector at our site in Barrow-in-Furness.

As a Senior QC Inspector, you will be in a blended product and office environments, working autonomously, working with major equipment alongside engineering teams and involvement in coaching activities.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to progress your career within quality and potentially develop into a Principal QC Inspector in the future. Please note, there are varying shift patterns available for this role.

Your main responsibilities as a Senior QC Inspector will involve:

Carrying out inspection, on the deck plate inspecting products and managing product safety during building and test / commissioning phases

Undertaking routing and complex inspections with autonomy - major component of the platform build and performance critical to the overall product

Recording results and measure outputs, driving compliance throughout inspection activities

Supporting process reviews in the spirit of continuous improvements which will be encouraged.

Verifying components within SAP System

Being clear and applying actions in accordance with SHE Policy including risk and COSHH assessments

Your skills and qualifications:


You will hold a relevant apprenticeship (or equivalent) qualification or relevant experience

Reactor bias/experience

Applied experience in a heavy industrial environment

Demonstrable experience in inspection activities.

Maritime - Submarines
