Would you like to play a key role verifying the technical performance of a wide range of products by carrying out detailed test procedures? We currently have a vacancy for a Test Engineer II at our site in Hillend.

As a Test Engineer, you will be using technical detail and specification requirements to interpret results of testing, through diagnosing products using your technical experience/education with a wide range of test equipment, allowing you to certify each products compliance or investigate fault trends and identify the root cause.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work in a hands-on, wide and varied role, in which your testing will support a number of key stakeholders.

Your main responsibilities as a Test Engineer will involve:

Testing a wide range of Complex electronic Assemblies

Diagnosing a wide range of medium complexity manufactured products with limited technical support

Testing in accordance with defined Test Schedule/Instruction

Using a wide range of complex test equipment

Using business systems to record product history/compliance

Supporting and assisting in the training of personnel

Working with minimal supervision

Your skills and qualifications:
Essential:

HNC/HND or equivalent qualification/experience in Electrical/Electronic Engineering

Previous experience testing printing circuit board assembly's

Exceptional problem-solving skills using sound judgement skills

Knowledge and experience of undertaking complex fault investigations

Experience/knowledge of differentiating between cause and effect

Have an understanding of a range of technical disciplines such as analogue, digital, RF and micro-processing etc.

Desirable:

Previous experience working with complex products

Experience developing team members

Have a range of product experience

Previous experience working within defence
