Toolset Support Engineer

Would you like to support a range of Engineering Programmes and toolsets within one of the UK's Largest Defence Companies? We currently have a vacancy for a Toolset Support Engineer at our site in Samlesbury.

As a Toolset Support Engineer, you will be assisting in the support, development and deployment of Engineering Competency Centre Toolsets on various programme across BAE Systems. You will work on a wide spectrums of IT related activities across multiple Engineering applications including: CATIA, PLM, 2D/3D visualisation Software. This role will also require specialism in the use and support of Electrical CAD so either experience or willingness to learn this side of the support role will be required.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work in a rewarding and varied role in a dynamic environment. It could also give you the opportunity to gain exposure across the BAE Systems Business giving you progression and development opportunities wither within the team or wider BAE Systems Business.

Your main responsibilities as a Toolset Support Engineer will involve:

Application/End User Support

Application updates, testing & deployment

Application developments

Application account management

Software and hardware fault finding

Process development and deployment

Your skills and qualifications:

Essential:

IT/Engineering background and/or qualifications

CATIA (both V4 and V5)

Good written and oral communications skills.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.

For this role, training will be given, however, experience in any of the following will be beneficial:

Electrical CAD

Aircraft CAD design processes

PLM applications

Digital Mock-up applications

You will be a proactive, diligent and competent team player who is able to discharge work to a high standard in a dynamic environment. You will also be an excellent communicator both verbally and written to work within a professional team and interact with end users. A knowledge or interest in IT will also be highly beneficial to success within this role.

Location: Samlesbury

Salary: £37,654 + Dependent on experience
