Senior Commissioning Engineer - Electrical

Would you like to be an integral part in ensuring the power and performance of a complex platform at sea? If so, we have a number of exciting opportunities for Senior Commissioning Engineers (Electrical) in the Propulsion Test Sections.

As a Senior Commissioning Engineer - Electrical, you will be responsible for driving compliance through test specifications on systems and be trusted to drive deliverables from the stage of build process all the way through to the platforms operation at sea.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to join a network of circa 200 Commissioning professionals interacting with both internal and external stakeholders.

Your main responsibilities as a Senior Commissioning Engineer - Electrical will involve:

Working to test and commissioning processes in order to set to work on the Propulsion Mechanical systems on the Submarine

Being responsible for the commissioning, trials, operation & setting to work of systems / equipment as appropriate

Providing a support service to boat builds, MoD and commercial customers as appropriate either on-site or off-site

Being responsible for research and compilation of appropriate documentation around Reactor systems

Compiling and reporting through systems to the Commissioning Project Leader to ensure progress is accurately reported to Management.

Your skills and qualifications as a Senior Commissioning Engineer - Electrical:

Essential:

Previous test and commissioning experience with electrical systems or alternatively experience of the setting to work of electrical systems

Demonstrable awareness of and experience with authorised documentation or test standards

HNC or equivalent in an Electrical discipline, or comparable experience in an Electrical engineering role

Desirable:

Submarine engineering experience would be beneficial; ideally from a fit, re-fit, commissioning, or decommissioning standpoint

Ideally have experience of Power/Propulsion systems engineering.
