We are currently seeking a Configuration Engineer at our site in Scotstoun. In this position, you will be Coordinating the implementation of appropriate business rules and controls for each phase of the product lifecycle and ensuring the required level of reporting is delivered for Configuration Management.
Your main responsibilities as a Configuration Engineer will involve:
Ensuring Hunter Class Frigate Program fulfils its contractual requirements on configuration management to the Commonwealth of Australia by supporting baseline establishment, maintenance and delivery of various key baselines (Functional, Allocated & Product)
Working with engineering teams across all disciplines to identify and record configuration items comprising the product
Supporting functional and physical configuration audits
Working with the whole ship engineering change and configuration teams across functional boundaries to develop strong configuration management culture on the programme
Your skills and qualifications as a Configuration Engineer:
· Understanding of engineering and configuration lifecycles
· Understanding of principles and benefits of configuration management
· CMII or similar industry qualification is desirable
· Knowledge of Product Data Management toolsets, e.g. Windchill
