Senior Systems Engineer - Aerospace

Permanent, Various Locations


Within Systems Engineering we are looking for Senior Systems Engineers to fulfil the roles within the Air Engineering business, with excellent leadership skills and who is willing to work in a team environment, both civilian and military.

What will I be doing?

As a Systems Engineer you will operate at platform level and be the overarching technical lead for projects, accountable for the technical solution, its quality and assurance and delivery to schedule.

You will coordinate activities between the various disciplines, working in partnership with the Project Managers to ensure a consistent approach to the creation and delivery of our products and advice.

Technical management of all activities on projects relating to a specific air platform or capability including acting as required as the technical point of contact for the customer (MOD, Commercial or other Defence)

Day-to-day leadership and management of technical teams to deliver integrated engineering outputs to contracted time, cost and quality that meet the customer’s requirements.

You will also provide significant technical support to the Sales and Bid teams in terms of the creation of the Technical Delivery Plans and estimates, supported by Subject Matter Experts, to develop robust technical solutions.

What do I need?

Recognised relevant aerospace qualification to at least HND standard or above supported by relevant technical training

Sound knowledge and experience of applying general Systems Engineering principles

Technical experience throughout the air vehicle life cycle

Sound knowledge of technical governance

Knowledge of aircraft certification and systems design

Aerospace Engineering Background with a track record of relevant technical activity delivery
