Senior Engineer - Control and Instrumentation
We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Engineer - Control and Instrumentation at our site in Scotstoun or Frimley.
As a Senior Engineer - Control and Instrumentation, you will be working with the Type 26 Platform team and the supplier to resolve technical issues and queries impacting systems development.
This role will provide you with you with the opportunity of working in the most advanced anti-submarine warfare combatant for the Royal Navy with cutting edge technology at the forefront of the industry. These frigates will be the main stay of the Royal Navy Surface Fleet.
Your main responsibilities as a Senior Engineer - Control and Instrumentation will involve:
Liaising with the Type 26 Platform Team, Supply Chain and Project Management to manage the impact of platform and system change on the PM&C scope of supply
Working with Supply Chain to review Supplier Design Deliverables for both hardware and software artefacts
Attending supplier design reviews
Dealing with other parts of the PM&C team to ensure physical integration of PM&C equipment to the ship and delivery of hardware and software to support the Ship build programme
Your skills and qualifications as a Senior Engineer - Control and Instrumentation:
Essential
Degree or equivalent working experience in an Engineering discipline (Examples: Systems, Electrical, Electronic, Software, Computer Science, Robotics, Control and Instrumentation)
Background in Control and Instrumentation
Understanding of design principles and approaches relevant to design activities
Desirable
Knowledge of marine systems
Electrical design experience
Control and Instrumentation down selection experience
