F-35 UK Sustainment Maintenance Planning Engineer

Would you like to play a key role in the safe delivery of the Maintenance Capability for UK Freedom of Action, for F-35 Aircraft? We currently have a vacancy for an F-35 UK Sustainment Maintenance Planning Engineer at our site in RAF Marham.

As a F-35 UK Sustainment Maintenance Planning Engineer, you will be working directly for the Planning Lead and will be embedded in the Data Management cell (DMC) within the Maintenance & Finish (M&F) supporting the planning of maintenance to ensure the delivery of the maintenance schedule, through effective utilisation of the toolsets and efficient practices managing any maintenance inputs that directly affect schedule adherence.

This role will provide you with a unique opportunity to support the 5th generation of stealth fighter aircraft and deliver this capability in the UK within a purpose-built facility. As a part of US Programmes Sustainment, BAE Systems provides sustainment and maintenance delivery at RAF Marham to ensure the customer has mission capable aircraft for UK National Defence.

Your main responsibilities as an F-35 UK Sustainment Maintenance Planning Engineer will involve:

Reporting to the Maintenance Planning and Support Manager, through the Planning Lead, the Maintenance Planning Engineer will support the delivery of maintenance planning activities through the Statement of Work (SOW) generation and Pre-input Review Meeting (PIRM) process, minimising costs and maximising operational efficiency.

Supporting the planning of maintenance to ensure the delivery of the maintenance schedule, through effective utilisation of the toolsets and efficient practices managing any maintenance inputs that directly affect schedule adherence.

Undertaking planning activities for the input of aircraft in line with the agreed statement of work (SOW) against individual tail numbers into the Maintenance & Finish (M&F) Facility.

Taking responsibility for the planning of maintenance events and optimisation of the Part 145 maintenance facilities capability and capacity; ensuring agreed work packages and maintenance events are scheduled and managed to plan and cost.

During each aircraft induction the maintenance planning engineer will be expected to update the maintenance work packages within the MCS system and the associated performance metrics to include: emergent work or SOW scope growth.

Your skills and qualifications:

Essential Skills:

Proven work experience of aircraft documentation and the importance of system or record integrity in support of continuing airworthiness.

Experience of the regulatory framework (MAOS Mil Part 145 and RA4811) relating to maintenance planning and its applicability to maintenance planning and processes.

Proven work experience in maintenance planning IT Systems in particular a thorough working knowledge of Integrated Maintenance Systems (IMS).

Demonstrable experience of being able to analyse and interpret data with a high level of attention to detail.

Desirable Skills:

Proven work experience of working on the F-35 Aircraft.

Proven use of Maintenix Systems.
