Would you like to play a key part in supporting the Royal Navy in global operations? BAE Systems Maritime Services delivers end-to-end support to over 50 per cent of the Royal Navy's surface fleet. We currently have a vacancy for an IWT (Integrated Work Team) Electrical Lead at our site in Portsmouth.

As an IWT (Integrated Work Team) Electrical Lead, you will be leading, mentoring and managing an Integrated Work Team to deliver all aspects of electrical production outputs to ensure project milestones are achieved on time, safely, to the right quality and on budget.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work in a varied and busy role where no two days are the same. You will also be working on the most advanced and prestigious of Naval vessels.

Your main responsibilities as an IWT (Integrated Work Team) Electrical Lead will involve:

Developing and demonstrating high levels of SHE behaviours to teams through strategic SHE improvements/setting and positive promotion of safety awareness, risk management/compliance

Submitting resource demand information which will then be signed off and sent to the function so that robust supply solutions are in place to deliver all commitments across a trade grouping and multiple platforms

Being accountable for ensuring Team Leaders are delivering work in accordance to production plans, Level 3 schedules and that bookings/housekeeping of Service Orders is maintained to enable project deliverables

Driving and encouraging good behaviours that enable high standards of delivery. It is important we deliver but also do it the right way

Managing teams using firm, fair and consistent values ensuring positive interventions and management actions when necessary

Using technical expertise and excellent problem-solving skills to guide trade disciplined teams to establish solutions to delivery challenges to ensure schedule compliance

Your skills and qualifications as an IWT (Integrated Work Team) Electrical Lead:

Ability to run large complex projects whilst effectively deploying resources and maintaining cost controls, demonstrating numerical, analytical and time management skills

Manage complex situations and a range of production issues, demonstrating excellent decision-making based on facts, financial awareness and Earned Value management.

Excellent technical abilities and problem-solving skills in chosen trade whilst using sound schedule and specification growth management skills and experience

Very high levels of SHE knowledge that will require Risk Assessment and Method Statements skills and functional knowledge

Excellent frontline Management skills

Ideally NEBOSH trained

Ideally degree in Business (Or equivalent), APM or experience

You will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal. You will have empathy and good people management experience. You will also have good key stakeholder Management experience and be able to liaise at all levels of stakeholder.
