Boats in Service Support Project Engineering Manager Would you like to play a key role in providing engineering management to a 7-year support project across a broad spectrum of vessels within the Small Boats team? We currently have a vacancy for a Boats in Service Support (BISS) Project Engineering Manager at our site in Portsmouth. As a Boats in Service Support Project Engineering Manager, you will be working as part of a dedicated multi-functional team, participating in a wide range of support activities for in-service craft. You will have responsibility for delivery of the Engineering requirements (contractual and business) of the project. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic engineer keen to work in a management position. This role will provide you with the opportunity of working on a fleet of 600 vessels across 20 classes. You will have wide exposure to a big contract in a small business and the opportunity to do many different tasks on a daily basis. Your main responsibilities as a Boats in Service Support Project Engineering Manager will involve: Managing the Engineering Output, including: The Project Management of Post Design Services (PDS) tasking, this shall include budget and timeline management as well as engineering delivery
PDS growth and customer engagement activities
Class Lead activities (obsolescence, configuration control and reliability)

Your skills and qualifications as a Boats in Service Support Project Engineering Manager: Demonstrable knowledge and ideally experience in a number of the following: Leading Engineering projects
Project Management skills
Good knowledge of safety requirements and processes, legislative regulations and the Design Certification process
Knowledge and experience of Lifecycle Management, Risk Analysis and Management, Reliability, Maintainability and Logistics.
Awareness of SHE and the participation in HAZIDs.
Some knowledge of the Marine industry, boats, design tasking and repair/ maintenance contracts would be beneficial Ideally experience of working on a support contract delivering design services What we're looking for in you: You must be capable of communicating effectively both verbally and in writing.
