Maintenance Support Engineer

Would you like to work as part of our Air team where you could be working at the edge of what is technologically possible, shaping the future to ensure our customers are ready to face challenges we cannot even imagine today? We currently have a vacancy for a Maintenance Support Engineer at our site in Samlesbury.

As a Maintenance Support Engineer, you will work within a team responsible for supporting the co-ordination and management of all manufacturing assets; whether that be preventative planned maintenance, responsiveness to unplanned breakdowns, legislative and regulatory requirements, asset performance and data capture, external supplier servicing and support, obsolescence, risk and spares management.

This role will provide you with the opportunity of dealing with multiple stakeholders, customers and suppliers. The workload which although initially planned can be reactive and dynamic to change

including scheduling, financials, use of data toolsets and significant levels of communication. You will be working within a wider team but with a scope of work that is autonomous.

Your main responsibilities as a Maintenance Support Engineer will involve:

Managing site service contracts scope and delivery, from order placement and integrated scheduling, to attendance on site, completion of works and receipt invoicing, to performance monitoring against contract.

Maintaining and building upon relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers

Ensuring financial transactions and processes are adhered to and appropriate management of respective data for historical capture and audit purposes.

Ensuring that engaged contractors adhere to BAE required use of external contractor requirements and the presentation of valid, topical documentation to demonstrate compliance

Carrying out duties of department IT and Office Administrator with CPC card purchasing duties

Supporting internal and external audit compliance against contracts and documentation

Your skills and qualifications as a Maintenance Support Engineer:

Essential Skills:

Proven experience of influencing, collaborating and liaising with multiple internal departments and external stakeholders

Proven work experience and knowledge of administrating and managing IT toolsets and drive accounts

Capable of detailed financial transaction management

Demonstrable experience of autonomous working

Desirable Skills:

Using toolsets such as AMEX / Concur / Coupa / SAP etc.

Proven Continuous Improvement inputs into current and/or past roles

Knowledge of working with Asset Management Systems

You will have excellent communication skills, written and verbal (remote and in person). You will liaise confidently with senior stakeholders and have the ability to influence. You will also have the ability to plan, schedule, co-ordinate and manage change.

Salary: £37,654
