Stantec are currently looking for a Senior Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation (EICA) Engineer to join our Water business to support Severn Trent’s asset management programme based from home, Redditch, the Midlands area or on-site with in client offices in Finham (Coventry) or Derby.

The Senior EICA Engineer will join an experienced Design Team who provide design services and technical expertise as part of an integrated team delivering feasibility and detailed design as well as construction support to Severn Trent’s asset management programme, working on a wide variety of projects including in water, wastewater, energy, infrastructure and environmental sectors.

As an experienced EICA Engineer you’ll be providing technical expertise in all areas of EICA Engineering, contributing to the whole project life cycle from feasibility and conceptual design through to commissioning and handover.  You’ll also hold responsibility for liaison with clients, supply chain partners, contractors, stakeholders and third parties as required.

You’ll also embrace the opportunity to learn and develop from colleagues across the business, as well as acting as a mentor and guide to less experienced members within the team.

 About You

The successful candidate will hold a degree in EICA Engineering, Control Engineering or other relevant subject and be a Chartered or Incorporated Member of the IET (or a relevant engineering institution) and a storied background in the water industry, where you’ll hold demonstrable experience in in the electrical and ICA elements in the design of water / wastewater treatment plants and water / wastewater networks.

Your knowledge and skills as an EICA Engineer in the water industry will add value to our clients as you fulfil the planning, specifciation, design procurement and commissioning of electrical equipment for projects. Drawing from your sound knowledge of current legislation, you will be able to work in accordance with QA and H&S procedures. You’ll be well versed in writing technicalspecifications and reports, familiar with collaborative reviews and designs ofsolutions in a BIM-enabled environment. The successful candidate will also leadon production of EICA engineering and wider project diagrams, projectmanagement tools and methodologies to deliver technical work to time and costtargets.

Finally, you will have strong communication skills along with a good understanding of Microsoft Office. Most importantly, you’ll embody our values and ethos of client focus and service excellence.
