We currently have a vacancy for an Engineering Manager Dynamics at our site in Barrow-in-Furness.

As an Engineering Manager - Dynamics, you will be managing a large team who oversee the analysis of Major Equipment, Structures and Key Mounting Arrangements subjected to the effects of Non-Contact Underwater Explosions, over multiple programmes. You will be working in a complex and niche department demonstrating technical expertise and knowledge.

This role will provide you with a pathway to move forward into a multifunctional business view. Being the 1st step onto the management & executive level, there is a vast career path which will enable you to get a strategic view of a business unit at a corporate level.

Your main responsibilities as an Engineering Manager - Dynamics will involve:

Assisting with the management of engineering staff; to help ensure each team member is assessed, developed, deployed and skilled to maximise their personal contribution and to meet the requirements of contracts, schedules and specifications.

Helping to identify resource requirements through the lifecycle of the project and manage engineering resource within agreed limits

Supporting with the Design & deliverables; and helping to ensure these are achieved to plan budget

Assisting with the appropriate engineering planning, management and review activities to ensure Products are integrated, safe, and fully compliant and delivered within agreed requirements for cost, quality, time and schedule

Preparing for Engineering Reviews and Technical Reviews in order to provide significant contribution to major projects, as well as Authorising of report writing & calculations on a regular basis.

Your skills and qualifications:

Essential

Degree or equivalent qualification or experience in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)

Engineering Background - Structural Dynamics and Analysis

Detailed Design knowledge

Management experience leading large & multi project teams

Ability to Multi-task whilst being diverse over different projects

Desirable

Knowledge of Resilient Mounting Systems

Chartered Engineer status or willingness to achieve accreditation

Knowledge of Abaqus FE Tool
