Stantec along with joint venture partner Ryan Hanley, are excited to have been appointed to the Irish Water Engineering Design Services Framework. The Joint Venture will support Irish Water’s Business Plan objectives up to 2027, which will see a €3.5bn investment in asset delivery across three primary portfolios: Wastewater Capital, Networks and Water Capital.

We are now recruiting in Ireland and are looking for Electrical Engineers with experience in the regulated water industry to join us. We are seeking driven individuals who think differently and love to challenge conventional thinking to join us in a growing, collaborative team of consultants working to meet the unprecedented industry-wide efficiency and environmental challenges. This role can be based in Dublin or elsewhere and we can offer great home working flexibility.

You will take on an important role delivering challenging capital programmes for Water Services Clients. You will use your knowledge and experience to deliver innovative, sustainable, and efficient engineering solutions. You will provide expertise on a variety of projects while working closely with our clients on and off site.

You’ll provide technical expertise in all areas of Electrical Engineering including Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation (EICA), contributing to the whole project life cycle from feasibility and conceptual design through to commissioning and handover.  You’ll also hold responsibility for liaison with clients, supply chain partners, contractors, stakeholders and third parties as required.

ABOUT YOU

You’ll be a degree-qualified Electrical Engineer with membership of a relevant engineering institution (i.e. IET, Engineers Ireland), and a storied background in the water industry, where you’ll hold demonstrable experience in in the electrical and ICA elements in the design of water / wastewater treatment plants and water / wastewater networks.

You’ll be well versed in writing technical specifications and reports, using drawing packages to produce electrical outline diagrams (SLD/BCD), and project management tools and methodologies to deliver technical work to time and cost targets.
