Maintenance Team Leaders - Electrical

Location - Reading / Basingstoke Area

Salary - Base salary plus contributory pension scheme, generous holiday entitlement, additional flexible benefits scheme and excellent work/life balance including 9 day working fortnight and flexible working hours (role dependent). A salary sacrifice scheme is also available. We will consider candidates looking for full time or part time hours.

The Engineering function at AWE are seeking to hire several team leaders - electrical disciplines within maintenance.

You will liaise with various stakeholders to ensure maintenance programmes and plans are maintained and available as required, managing adequate resource availability to meet planned and reactive maintenance delivery tasks.

As a team leader you will provide leadership, management and supervision of Asset Maintenance Delivery craft and support team. Accountability will sit with you for the development of staff through one to one discussion, appraisals and training plans ensuring individuals potential and succession opportunities are realised.

To be considered for a Team Leader role, you must have an engineering apprenticeship with a minimum NVQ/Diploma Level 3 in a relevant technical discipline or C&G, ONC or HNC, plus industrial experience.

You will also need:

  • Experience maintaining plant and equipment ideally within a high hazard environment
  • Supervisory, leadership and performance management skills
  • To be an accredited Risk Assessor
  • Experience with Health and Safety legislation

Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary
