Want to learn skills that could help protect the UK? Ready to be part of a team that’s highly regarded around the world? Join us as an apprentice in our Electronic Warfare Technology & Enterprise (EWTE) Group and gain a BSc in Electronic Engineering as you launch a unique career.

If you want a varied role that covers a variety of domains, this is where you need to be. As an apprentice, you’ll help our teams to protect, understand and develop the UK’s use of the electromagnetic environment. We’ll train you in everything from basic electrical theory to the design electronic systems, giving you a wealth of valuable expertise. With your natural drive to understand how things work, you’ll always be hungry for knowledge.

Whatever you’re learning, you’ll thrive on the chance to put your practical and theoretical knowledge to the test. Passionate about engineering, technology and supporting our frontline forces, you’ll be motivated to gain a degree that could lead to registration as a Chartered Engineer.

To join us, you’ll need five 4-9 (A*-C) Grade GCSEs or equivalent, including English & Maths, as well as three A-Level standard, or equivalent qualifications, in Mathematics and at least one further STEM based subject.

  • acting as a trusted interface between MOD, wider government, the private sector and academia to provide science and technology support to military operations by the UK and her allies
  • championing and developing science and technology skills across MOD
