Salary: £50,000 to £70,000 (doe)

A fantastic opportunity to join us as a DevOps and ALM Technical lead to be part of a team at MBDA that is starting an exciting phase of redefining the way we develop and deliver software, putting our engineers at the heart of this transformation!

This is a hands-on role and will involve leading the technical delivery of our CI and CD solutions across the whole of the UK Software Group.

What we’re looking for

A Technical Leader who will work with key partners, Software Project Leads, Architects and Technical Experts to develop a fit for purpose common CI & CD infrastructure for Software Engineering in the UK.

•    An experienced DevOps Engineer with proven technical leadership skills.
•    A good hands on understanding of various industry leading DevOps tools and techniques, including tools like Jenkins & Artifactory
•    Previous experience working in an agile development team.
•    Proven experience teaching, mentoring, coaching in a technical capacity.
•    Can articulate the benefits of key software craftsmanship practices like unit testing and good design.
•    Experience of applying and the ability to coach XP principles and practices.
•    Hands on experience using IBM ALM tooling providing support and coaching for RTC, DNG and RQM
•    Highly desirable; Containerization and Virtualization orchestration using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Docker and Kubernetes with platforms such as OpenShift & OpenStack or equivalent
