Use your engineering knowledge to help the Metropolitan Police Service fight crime

This position is within Technical Support Unit (TSU) of the MPS. The role of the TSU is to provide technical solutions and operational support to police operations investigating and disrupting serious and organised crime.

Engineering Infrastructure and Operational Support (EIOS) TSU engineers provide and maintain technology for the TSU including:

  • Networking and IT
  • Video and audio technology, recording equipment and video monitoring systems
  • Radio equipment.
  • Asset management systems including using GPS.

TSU engineers also carry out operational work.

The role is based in Clapham but EIOS engineers work anywhere in London (and sometimes beyond), as required. The successful candidate with have a full UK Driving License.

With increasing workload and technology upgrades, the TSU EIOS team requires more staff.

The successful candidate will have studied to C&G, ONC, HNC or degree level in a relevant subject and/or have experience of working in a relevant engineering role.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate initiative, flexibility and responsibility for their work.
