Full-time but we are happy to explore part-time working and flexible working opportunities

Ref: UOS028649

Can you tell a compelling story with data, convince others to take action and communicate complex ideas to a diverse audience?

We are looking for a Lifecycle Analyst to support the sustainable manufacturing team at the University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) to realise our strategic vision of a sustainable, net-zero UK manufacturing community. We are committed to exploring flexible working opportunities which benefit the individual and University.

Customer facing and cross-sector, you will engage with leading UK and global manufacturing organisations, the wider UK Catapult network, and UK government to inform and shape the net zero conversation across the manufacturing spectrum. You will be based within the AMRC’s Design and Prototyping Group on the Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Park, but will include some travel to visit industrial facilities, universities, and other catapult centres within the UK and abroad.

The AMRC is a commercial, translational research and development facility, with a high turnover of technologies in response to the emerging needs of our industrial partners. An understanding of current software packages, manufacturing processes and technologies would help you to fulfil your role. However, it is more important to be adaptable as we often have to incorporate the systems and approaches of our partners, and the underpinning science can change.

About the University

We’re one of the best not-for-profit organisations to work for in the UK. The University’s Total Reward Package includes a competitive salary, a generous Pension Scheme and annual leave entitlement, as well as access to a range of learning and development courses to support your personal and professional development.

We build teams of people from different heritages and lifestyles from across the world, whose talent and contributions complement each other to greatest effect. We believe diversity in all its forms delivers greater impact through research, teaching and student experience.

Apply now by visiting our website.

Closing date: 23 June 2021.

As an equal opportunities employer, we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons. However, as women and black and minority ethnic (BAME) candidates are currently under-represented at this level in this area, we would particularly welcome applications from these candidates. All appointments will be made on the merit of skills and experience relative to the role.
