Senior Safety Engineer
Location: Reading/ Basingstoke area

Working within our Engineering Compliance team, we are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Safety Engineer to assess safety data, identify areas for improvement and monitor effective implementation of improvements.
This role will give you the opportunity to apply your expertise to influence and contribute to the development of AWE's engineering safety policies and act as the intelligent customer to a range of stakeholders across our facilities.
As a Senior Safety Engineer, you will:
Carry out investigations on accidents, incidents and near misses
Carry out regular assessments on incidents, accidents and near misses to identify potential trends
Identify areas for improvement based on analysis of data acquired
Generate proposals for improvements with stakeholders in affected areas
Identify improvements in monitoring techniques for the identification of leading indicators for areas of concern
Monitor the delivery of improvements and assess the effectiveness of them
Provide regular communications to stakeholders (including external Regulators) on the assessments and findings
We will be looking for candidates to have previous experience working in a highly regulated environment where you have had significant involvement with the safe delivery of engineering services across the life of an asset.
