Mechatronics Craft Engineer

Location: Reading/ Basingstoke area

Working within our Craft Engineering team, this is an excellent opportunity for a multi-disciplined Craft Practitioner to work with bespoke equipment undertaking planned and reactive maintenance activities on plant and equipment which can include installations, repairs, replacement, calibration, testing and modifications to optimise plant and equipment availability.

This role will give you the opportunity to apply your expertise and experience to produce safe systems of work and work instructions and demonstrate your understanding, competence and within your designated area of responsibility.

We would encourage applications from engineers (across various technical disciplines) to apply who can demonstrate:

  • An engineering apprenticeship with a minimum NVQ/Diploma Level 3 in a relevant technical discipline or NVQ/Diploma level 2 plus industrial experience
  • Knowledge and working experience of fault-finding techniques and methodologies
  • Experience of operational craft activities including fault finding techniques and methodologies
  • Working knowledge/experience of Machine Tools, Press or Additive Manufacturing Machines
  • An understanding of the HASAWA
  • Experience of Safe Systems of Work (Including Method Statements and Risk Assessments)
